Who can participate?

The VETS Aft is open to any United States Veteran who served our country. The event has a “cap” of 100 Vets and it is the first 100 to sign up that will be guaranteed a spot. There will be a standby list in the event there are no-shows or we can accommodate more Vets.

What do we fish for?

The tournament is set up to be a friendly tournament and a wide variety of fish species are eligible, Striped bass, Bluefish, Cod, Haddock, Bluefin Tuna, Sharks, Other.

Do I have to fish?

Only if you want to. Vets can go along for the ride and just take in and enjoy the experience. We also have boats and Captains available for harbor cruises around Casco Bay if fishing is not your thing.

Do I need to have fishing gear?

No. Each boat will have the proper amount of fishing gear for the type of fishing you will be doing.

What do I bring?

Vets should prepare for all weather conditions. Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and warm clothing are recommended. It is also bring your own food and drink. Adult beverages are okay but please act responsibly.
